About Professor Farhad Hafezi
Farhad Hafezi, graduated from Alborz High School, in Tehran, in ۱۹۷۱ and passed the national universities entrance exam with honors (top ۲۰ among ۸۰’۰۰۰) entering Shiraz University medical school (formerly Pahlavi University) in the same year. He received his MD with honors in ۱۹۷۹ (top ten percent) and attended Shiraz University department of General surgery for his surgical residency program. He received Board of General Surgery certification in ۱۹۸۷ and Board of Plastic Surgery Certificate in ۱۹۹۲.
His academic achievements placed him in Tehran University of Medical Sciences (previously Iran University) as an assistant professor of general surgery. He completed his plastic surgery fellowship in London, England, at The Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Vernon Hospital.
In ۱۹۹۷ His peers and colleagues elected him to the board of directors of Iranian society of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeons. He was re-elected five consecutive periods and still serves on this board to this date. Dr. Hafezi has been a member of the Iran Surgical Society since 1986.Dr. Hafezi became the associate professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery in April ۲۰۰۵ and the first and only Professor of Plastic Surgery at Tehran University in September ۲۰۱۰.
Twenty years of extensive work in the field of plastic surgery has allowed Dr. Hafezi to develop an expertise in Rhinoplasty, Facial rejuvenation, Endoscopic Brow lift, Breast modifications, Liposculpture and advanced body contouring techniques. Dr. Farhad Hafezi has been the head of plastic surgery unit at the Arad general Hospital in Tehran, where he not only practices the art of Plastic Surgery, but also provides advice and guidance to aspiring plastic surgeons.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since ۲۰۰۲ (FACS) and member of American society of plastic surgeons since ۲۰۰۶. Dr. Hafezi has published over ۴۵ articles in peer-reviewed journals and ۱ textbook. He is co- editor and reviewer of several national and international journals. Dr. Hafezi is an active member of the scientific community and has participated in over ۶۰ presentations at regional and international scientific meetings and conferences.
